Online therapy for grief, depression, anxiety and relationship concerns in Macon. Georgia-licensed therapists for adults, couples and teens.

Therapy for Macon

Grief doesn't follow a schedule. It can arrive months after a loss, or show up as anger, numbness or exhaustion instead of tears. If you're in Macon and carrying a loss that feels too heavy to manage alone, a therapist can help you make room for it without being swallowed by it.

Macon is in Bibb County, and we serve Bibb County and the rest of Georgia over secure video. Our therapists are licensed in Georgia, and we accept major insurance plans and Georgia Medicaid. With insurance, sessions can be as low as $0 depending on your plan.

Who we help

Who therapy in Macon is for

We work with adults grieving a death, a divorce, a diagnosis or another loss; couples grieving together, and differently; and teens ages 13 to 17 facing loss or family change. We also help with anxiety, depression and stress, whether or not grief is part of the picture.

You might be dealing with

  • Painful experiences that still affect you today
  • Parenting stress and tension at home
  • Low mood, low energy or losing interest in things you used to enjoy
  • Conflict or distance in a relationship

Therapy services

Help with what you're carrying

Some people reach out about one specific problem, like panic attacks or a recent loss. Others can only say that something feels off. Both are good reasons to talk to a therapist. Individual sessions are confidential, about 50 minutes long, and built around goals you agree on together.

Couples therapy is for partners who keep circling the same fight, feel more like roommates than partners, or are working through a breach of trust. Both partners attend the same session for one fee, with no double billing, and both need to be in Georgia when you meet.

Insurance and cost

Using your insurance in Bibb County

Tell us your plan on the intake form. We check your coverage and tell you your actual per-session cost before anything is scheduled, so there are no surprise bills. For many plans, that cost is as low as $0 per session.

Accepted plans: Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Cigna, Optum / UnitedHealthcare, Humana, select Medicare Advantage plans, and the Georgia Medicaid plans Amerigroup, CareSource and Peach State Health Plan. If we're not in-network with your specific plan, we'll help you look at out-of-network reimbursement or private pay.

Consent, safety updates and family sessions

Around the school day

Weekdays until 7pm ET and weekends

We see teens ages 13 to 17 for anxiety, low mood, school stress, family conflict, identity questions, social media pressure and more. Our teen therapists work specifically with adolescents, and sessions are 45 to 50 minutes by secure video, so your teen can log on from their bedroom instead of being driven across Bibb County.

A parent or legal guardian completes the intake form and signs consent, and we talk briefly with both of you before matching. After that, sessions belong to your teen. Parents don't get session-by-session content, but they do hear about safety concerns and progress milestones, with the teen's knowledge, and family sessions every four to six weeks keep you connected to the goals.

Our hours run until 7pm ET on weekdays and from 10am to 3pm ET on Saturdays, with Sunday sessions by arrangement, so you can look for a time after school or on the weekend instead of pulling your teen out of class.

How online therapy works

How telehealth works for Macon residents

Every session happens over a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform. You need a phone, tablet or computer, a reliable connection, and a private place to talk. Most people join from home, and some use a closed office during a lunch break.

There's no commute and no waiting room. Our hours run Monday through Friday from 8am to 7pm ET and Saturday from 10am to 3pm ET, with Sunday sessions by arrangement, so you can look for an evening or weekend time that works around your job or family. Licensing rules require you to be in Georgia during each session, so you can join from Macon or anywhere else in the state.

Coaching

Life and relationship coaching for Macon

Coaching is a good match when you want structure and accountability around something specific: a new role, a move, a decision you keep putting off, or a relationship you want to strengthen rather than repair.

Sessions happen over video, with a coach matched to the kind of goal you have. There's no diagnosis involved and insurance doesn't pay for coaching, so we share the per-session rate on your welcome call and confirm it before your first session.

Macon FAQ

Questions people ask before starting

Do you have an office in Macon?

There's no physical office in Macon. Sessions are held by secure video with Georgia-licensed therapists, so you can meet from home, a private office, or anywhere in the state with a closed door and a good connection.

Can my partner and I join couples therapy from different places?

Yes, as long as you are both physically in Georgia at the time of the session. That's a licensing requirement. Many couples join from the same room; others join from two locations when work or travel keeps them apart. Both partners are covered under one session.

Do I have to be in Macon for my sessions?

No. You can join from anywhere in Georgia: home, work, or somewhere else private. Because our therapists are licensed in Georgia, you do need to be in the state during every session. If you move within Georgia, you can keep the same therapist.

What if my therapist isn't the right fit?

Tell us. Fit matters, and we'll rematch you with a different therapist without any awkwardness. You can also share preferences on the intake form, such as your therapist's gender or the times you're available, so the first match is as close as possible.

Can I pay without using insurance?

Yes. Private pay is welcome at a simple per-session rate, confirmed before your first session, with no subscription or membership. HSA and FSA cards are accepted, and we can provide superbills if you want to seek out-of-network reimbursement.
