Online Therapy in Suwanee, Georgia

Online therapy for Suwanee adults, couples and teens that fits into a full workday, with licensed Georgia therapists and insurance accepted.

Therapy for Suwanee

If your calendar is already packed with meetings, school pickups and everything in between, adding a weekly drive to a therapist's office can feel impossible. For Suwanee residents, online therapy shrinks that commitment to the session itself: you close a door, open a link and talk with a licensed therapist.

MentalSpace Therapy works with clients across Gwinnett County, including Suwanee, and throughout Georgia. Our team verifies your insurance before your first session, and if you're using Georgia Medicaid, you'll typically pay $0 per session.

Who we help

You don't need a crisis to start

You might want help with anxiety that shows up as tension, irritability or trouble sleeping, or with burnout from a job that never really switches off. We also see couples and teens. If you'd rather work on a specific goal than a clinical concern, our coaches can help with that too.

You might be dealing with

  • Trouble sleeping, focusing or getting through the day
  • Questions about identity, belonging or who you are becoming
  • Grief after a death, a breakup or another loss
  • A teenager who is struggling at school or at home

How online therapy works

Online therapy, explained

If you've never done therapy over video, it's simpler than it sounds. You get a link, you join from a quiet room, and you talk with a licensed therapist who can see and hear you. Some people find it easier to open up from their own space.

Suwanee residents can book within our hours: 8am to 7pm ET Monday through Friday, and 10am to 3pm ET on Saturdays, plus Sunday sessions by arrangement. Headphones help with privacy if others are home. Georgia licensing means you need to be in the state for every session.

Therapy services

Individual therapy and couples counseling, online

Therapy doesn't need to mean a couch in an office across town. For Suwanee adults, individual therapy happens over secure video from home or any private room in Georgia. Sessions are about 50 minutes, and you see the same therapist each week so the work builds over time.

For couples, therapy is a structured process: an assessment phase, a working phase where you practice new patterns between sessions, and a tapering phase. Every couple is different, and your therapist will be honest with you about what they are seeing as you go.

Teen therapy in Suwanee

Ages 13–17

Therapists who specialize in adolescents

Parents stay involved

Consent, safety updates and family sessions

Around the school day

Weekdays until 7pm ET and weekends

Our teen program is for 13- to 17-year-olds anywhere in Gwinnett County, including Suwanee. Therapists who specialize in adolescents help with anxiety, depression, school avoidance, social media comparison, identity, and conflict at home, using language that doesn't talk down to teens.

Here is how parents fit in: you fill out the form and sign consent, we speak with you and your teen before pairing them with a therapist, and you join family check-ins every four to six weeks. Siblings can each have their own therapist, which often works better than sharing one.

There's no commute, so a session can start a few minutes after your teen gets home. Weekday times run until 7pm ET, Saturday times from 10am to 3pm ET, and Sunday times by arrangement, depending on the therapist's availability.

Insurance and cost

What therapy costs with insurance

The short answer: as low as $0 per session with insurance, depending on your plan. Georgia Medicaid plans, meaning Amerigroup, CareSource and Peach State Health Plan, typically have a $0 copay. Commercial plans usually mean a copay or coinsurance once any deductible is met.

Commercial plans we accept include Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Cigna, Optum / UnitedHealthcare and Humana, along with some Aetna and Humana Medicare Advantage plans. We make the benefits calls for you and share the dollar amount before you're scheduled. If you'd rather not use insurance, private pay is available at a per-session rate confirmed in advance.

Coaching

Life and relationship coaching

Not everything calls for therapy. Life coaching is forward-looking and goal-driven: a career change, a leadership role, a transition you want to handle on purpose. Relationship coaching helps partners, daters and individuals build practical skills like communication and decision-making. Neither requires a diagnosis.

Most of our coaches hold ICF credentials. Coaching isn't a medical service, so insurance doesn't cover it, and rates are shared on your welcome call before you commit. If what you describe sounds more clinical, we'll tell you and point you to therapy instead.

Getting started

What your first session looks like

From the first form to your first session usually takes about a week. Here is the path.

  1. 1

    Tell us a little

A four-step form that takes about two minutes: who you are, what's bringing you in, how you'd like to pay, and your preferences. You don't enter any payment information online.

  2. 2

    A care coordinator calls

Within 24 to 72 hours, a real person reaches out to confirm details, answer questions and make sure we're the right fit. If we're not, we'll help you find the right place.

  3. 3

    Portal and paperwork

You get access to our secure client portal to sign consent, privacy and intake forms. We verify your benefits and tell you your per-session cost.

  4. 4

    Your first session

Fifty minutes over secure video. Your therapist gets to know you and starts building a plan with you, not a generic protocol.

Suwanee FAQ

Questions people ask before starting

Do you have an office in Suwanee?

We don't have an office in Suwanee, or anywhere else, because all of our therapy is online. That means no drive and no waiting room: you join a secure video session from a private spot in Georgia, and paperwork happens in our client portal.

Do I have to be in Suwanee for my sessions?

No. You can join from anywhere in Georgia: home, work, or somewhere else private. Because our therapists are licensed in Georgia, you do need to be in the state during every session. If you move within Georgia, you can keep the same therapist.

What if my therapist isn't the right fit?

Tell us. Fit matters, and we'll rematch you with a different therapist without any awkwardness. You can also share preferences on the intake form, such as your therapist's gender or the times you're available, so the first match is as close as possible.

Can I pay without using insurance?

Yes. Private pay is welcome at a simple per-session rate, confirmed before your first session, with no subscription or membership. HSA and FSA cards are accepted, and we can provide superbills if you want to seek out-of-network reimbursement.
