Online Therapy in Milton, Georgia

Private, confidential online therapy for Milton adults, couples and teens, with Georgia-licensed therapists and a HIPAA-compliant platform.

Therapy for Milton

Privacy is a real concern for many people considering therapy. You may not want your car parked outside a counseling office, or you may worry about who sees what in your records. For Milton residents, online therapy keeps sessions inside your own four walls.

Our video platform and client portal are HIPAA-compliant. If you use insurance, your plan sees a diagnosis code and dates of service, never the content of your sessions. If you'd rather not create an insurance claim at all, private pay is available. Milton is in Fulton County, and we serve the whole county.

Who we help

Who therapy in Milton is for

We work with adults and couples who value discretion, and with teens ages 13 to 17 whose parents want a confidential space for them to talk. Common reasons to reach out include anxiety, depression, relationship strain and grief. Your therapist will explain the limits of confidentiality in your first session.

You might be dealing with

  • Grief after a death, a breakup or another loss
  • A teenager who is struggling at school or at home
  • Trouble sleeping, focusing or getting through the day
  • Questions about identity, belonging or who you are becoming

How online therapy works

Secure video, on your schedule

MentalSpace Therapy is an online practice, so there is no office visit at any point. Your therapist meets you on a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform, and consent forms, intake paperwork and scheduling all happen in a portal you can open from your phone.

Because nothing depends on driving, a session can fit into a weekday evening before 7pm ET or a Saturday between 10am and 3pm ET, or a Sunday by arrangement. You need to be in Georgia during each session, whether that's at home in Milton or somewhere else in the state.

Therapy services

Individual therapy and couples counseling, online

Therapy doesn't need to mean a couch in an office across town. For Milton adults, individual therapy happens over secure video from home or any private room in Georgia. Sessions are about 50 minutes, and you see the same therapist each week so the work builds over time.

For couples, therapy is a structured process: an assessment phase, a working phase where you practice new patterns between sessions, and a tapering phase. Every couple is different, and your therapist will be honest with you about what they are seeing as you go.

Parents stay involved

Consent, safety updates and family sessions

Around the school day

Weekdays until 7pm ET and weekends

We see teens ages 13 to 17 for anxiety, low mood, school stress, family conflict, identity questions, social media pressure and more. Our teen therapists work specifically with adolescents, and sessions are 45 to 50 minutes by secure video, so your teen can log on from their bedroom instead of being driven across Fulton County.

A parent or legal guardian completes the intake form and signs consent, and we talk briefly with both of you before matching. After that, sessions belong to your teen. Parents don't get session-by-session content, but they do hear about safety concerns and progress milestones, with the teen's knowledge, and family sessions every four to six weeks keep you connected to the goals.

Our hours run until 7pm ET on weekdays and from 10am to 3pm ET on Saturdays, with Sunday sessions by arrangement, so you can look for a time after school or on the weekend instead of pulling your teen out of class.

Insurance and cost

What therapy costs with insurance

The short answer: as low as $0 per session with insurance, depending on your plan. Georgia Medicaid plans, meaning Amerigroup, CareSource and Peach State Health Plan, typically have a $0 copay. Commercial plans usually mean a copay or coinsurance once any deductible is met.

Commercial plans we accept include Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Cigna, Optum / UnitedHealthcare and Humana, along with some Aetna and Humana Medicare Advantage plans. We make the benefits calls for you and share the dollar amount before you're scheduled. If you'd rather not use insurance, private pay is available at a per-session rate confirmed in advance.

Plans we accept

  • Blue Cross Blue Shield
  • Aetna
  • Cigna
  • Optum / UnitedHealthcare
  • Humana
  • Select Medicare Advantage (Aetna, Humana)
  • Amerigroup (Georgia Medicaid)
  • CareSource (Georgia Medicaid)
  • Peach State Health Plan (Georgia Medicaid)
  • Private pay welcome

Coaching

Coaching for goals, not diagnoses

Life coaching and relationship coaching are skills- and decision-focused. A life coach can help you plan a career move or build habits that stick. A relationship coach can help you and a partner talk through decisions without the conversation turning into a fight.

Most of our coaches hold ICF credentials at the ACC, PCC or MCC level. Coaching is private pay, because insurance treats it as non-medical, and the per-session rate depends on the coach's credential.

Milton FAQ

Questions people ask before starting

Is online therapy private?

Sessions run on a HIPAA-compliant video platform, and your paperwork lives in a secure client portal. You choose a private place to join from. If you use insurance, your plan sees a diagnosis code and dates of service, never the content of your sessions. Private pay is available if you'd rather not file a claim.

Do you have an office in Milton?

We don't have an office in Milton, or anywhere else, because all of our therapy is online. That means no drive and no waiting room: you join a secure video session from a private spot in Georgia, and paperwork happens in our client portal.

Do you accept Medicare?

We don't currently accept traditional Medicare. We do accept some Medicare Advantage plans through Aetna and Humana, and we'll verify yours during intake. If neither applies, private pay is available at a per-session rate confirmed before your first session.

Does insurance cover life or relationship coaching?

No. Coaching isn't a medical service, so insurance doesn't apply. Rates depend on the coach's credential and are shared on your welcome call before you commit. If what you need is clinical, such as treatment for anxiety or depression, therapy can be billed to insurance.

Do you take insurance for therapy in Milton?

Yes. We accept Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Cigna, Optum / UnitedHealthcare, Humana, select Medicare Advantage plans, and Georgia Medicaid through Amerigroup, CareSource and Peach State Health Plan. With insurance, sessions can be as low as $0 per session depending on your plan, and we verify your benefits before your first session.
