Online Therapy in Kennesaw, Georgia

Online therapy for Kennesaw adults, couples and teens dealing with stress, focus problems, anxiety and more. Licensed Georgia therapists, insurance accepted.

Therapy for Kennesaw

Overwhelm doesn't always look like panic. Sometimes it looks like a to-do list you can't start, a mind that won't settle, or a sense that everyone else got a manual you didn't. If that's you, a therapist can help you understand what's going on and build strategies that fit how your brain actually works.

We offer online therapy to Kennesaw residents and everyone else in Cobb County by secure video. Our therapists are licensed in Georgia, and we check your insurance before your first session. With insurance, sessions can be as low as $0, depending on your plan.

Who we help

You don't need a crisis to start

We work with adults who struggle with attention, organization or anxiety; couples whose differences are wearing them down; and teens ages 13 to 17 who are overwhelmed by school. If you're 18 or older and on a parent's insurance plan, you can still start therapy as an adult, and we'll explain how billing works on your welcome call.

You might be dealing with

  • Parenting stress and tension at home
  • Low mood, low energy or losing interest in things you used to enjoy
  • Conflict or distance in a relationship
  • Painful experiences that still affect you today

Therapy services

What therapy with us looks like

For most people, therapy starts with individual sessions: a weekly or every-other-week video appointment with one therapist who gets to know your history, your goals and the way you think. Ongoing worry, low mood, relationship strain, work stress and grief are all common reasons to begin.

Couples therapy follows a clear arc. The first two or three sessions cover your history together, what is working and what isn't, and some individual time with each partner. After that, sessions focus on practicing new ways of talking, and they taper to every other week, then monthly, as things shift.

Insurance and cost

Coverage, checked before you start

Insurance can be a maze, so we handle it. Once you submit the intake form, we verify your benefits and tell you what each session will cost. With insurance, that's as low as $0 per session, depending on your plan.

We accept Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Cigna, Optum / UnitedHealthcare and Humana. For Georgia Medicaid, we work with Amerigroup, CareSource and Peach State Health Plan. Some Medicare Advantage plans through Aetna and Humana are accepted, but traditional Medicare is not. Private pay, HSA and FSA are welcome.

Teen therapy in Kennesaw

Therapists who specialize in adolescents

Parents stay involved

Consent, safety updates and family sessions

Around the school day

Weekdays until 7pm ET and weekends

Our teen program is for 13- to 17-year-olds anywhere in Cobb County, including Kennesaw. Therapists who specialize in adolescents help with anxiety, depression, school avoidance, social media comparison, identity, and conflict at home, using language that doesn't talk down to teens.

Here is how parents fit in: you fill out the form and sign consent, we speak with you and your teen before pairing them with a therapist, and you join family check-ins every four to six weeks. Siblings can each have their own therapist, which often works better than sharing one.

There's no commute, so a session can start a few minutes after your teen gets home. Weekday times run until 7pm ET, Saturday times from 10am to 3pm ET, and Sunday times by arrangement, depending on the therapist's availability.

How online therapy works

How telehealth works for Kennesaw residents

Every session happens over a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform. You need a phone, tablet or computer, a reliable connection, and a private place to talk. Most people join from home, and some use a closed office during a lunch break.

There's no commute and no waiting room. Our hours run Monday through Friday from 8am to 7pm ET and Saturday from 10am to 3pm ET, with Sunday sessions by arrangement, so you can look for an evening or weekend time that works around your job or family. Licensing rules require you to be in Georgia during each session, so you can join from Kennesaw or anywhere else in the state.

Coaching

Coaching for goals, not diagnoses

Life coaching and relationship coaching are skills- and decision-focused. A life coach can help you plan a career move or build habits that stick. A relationship coach can help you and a partner talk through decisions without the conversation turning into a fight.

Most of our coaches hold ICF credentials at the ACC, PCC or MCC level. Coaching is private pay, because insurance treats it as non-medical, and the per-session rate depends on the coach's credential.

Kennesaw FAQ

Questions people ask before starting

Do you have an office in Kennesaw?

There's no physical office in Kennesaw. Sessions are held by secure video with Georgia-licensed therapists, so you can meet from home, a private office, or anywhere in the state with a closed door and a good connection.

Do you accept Georgia Medicaid in Cobb County?

Yes. We work with the Georgia Medicaid plans Amerigroup, CareSource and Peach State Health Plan, and most Medicaid clients pay $0 per session. We confirm your benefits before your first session.

Can my partner and I join couples therapy from different places?

Yes, as long as you are both physically in Georgia at the time of the session. That's a licensing requirement. Many couples join from the same room; others join from two locations when work or travel keeps them apart. Both partners are covered under one session.

Do I have to be in Kennesaw for my sessions?

No. You can join from anywhere in Georgia: home, work, or somewhere else private. Because our therapists are licensed in Georgia, you do need to be in the state during every session. If you move within Georgia, you can keep the same therapist.

What if my therapist isn't the right fit?

Tell us. Fit matters, and we'll rematch you with a different therapist without any awkwardness. You can also share preferences on the intake form, such as your therapist's gender or the times you're available, so the first match is as close as possible.
