Online Therapy in Acworth, Georgia
Couples, individual and teen therapy for Acworth by secure video. Partners can even join from two different places, as long as both are in Georgia.
Therapy for Acworth
Couples therapy gets complicated when two schedules don't line up. One partner works late, the other travels, and finding an hour when you can both drive to an office starts to feel like a project. With online therapy, Acworth couples can join from the same couch or from two different locations in Georgia.
MentalSpace Therapy serves Acworth and the rest of Cobb County through Georgia-licensed therapists. Both partners are covered under one session, with no double billing, and many insurance plans cover couples work as family or relational therapy. We check your plan before you start.
Who we help
Who therapy in Acworth is for
Couples therapy can help with recurring conflict, emotional distance, trust after a betrayal, or questions about whether to stay together. We also offer individual therapy for adults and teen therapy for ages 13 to 17, so if one partner wants their own sessions too, that's easy to arrange.

- Stress and burnout from work, caregiving or both
- Big transitions: a move, a new job, a new baby, an empty house
- Feeling stuck and wanting a clearer direction
- Worry, anxiety or panic that keeps coming back
Therapy services
Support for you, and for your relationship
Individual therapy gives you a confidential place to sort through what has been weighing on you. Our therapists are licensed in Georgia as professional counselors, clinical social workers, or marriage and family therapists, and a person, not an algorithm, matches you based on what you share in the intake form.
Couples therapy is available to partners anywhere in Cobb County and the rest of Georgia. It can help with recurring conflict, distance, trust after a betrayal, premarital questions, or blended-family stress. If the fit with a therapist isn't right, we rematch you without any awkwardness.

Therapists who specialize in adolescents
Parents stay involved
Consent, safety updates and family sessions
Around the school day
Weekdays until 7pm ET and weekends
We see teens ages 13 to 17 for anxiety, low mood, school stress, family conflict, identity questions, social media pressure and more. Our teen therapists work specifically with adolescents, and sessions are 45 to 50 minutes by secure video, so your teen can log on from their bedroom instead of being driven across Cobb County.
A parent or legal guardian completes the intake form and signs consent, and we talk briefly with both of you before matching. After that, sessions belong to your teen. Parents don't get session-by-session content, but they do hear about safety concerns and progress milestones, with the teen's knowledge, and family sessions every four to six weeks keep you connected to the goals.
Our hours run until 7pm ET on weekdays and from 10am to 3pm ET on Saturdays, with Sunday sessions by arrangement, so you can look for a time after school or on the weekend instead of pulling your teen out of class.
Coaching
Life and relationship coaching for Acworth
Coaching is a good match when you want structure and accountability around something specific: a new role, a move, a decision you keep putting off, or a relationship you want to strengthen rather than repair.
Sessions happen over video, with a coach matched to the kind of goal you have. There's no diagnosis involved and insurance doesn't pay for coaching, so we share the per-session rate on your welcome call and confirm it before your first session.

How online therapy works
Therapy from home in Acworth
Online therapy removes the parts of therapy that are hardest to fit into a busy week: the drive, the parking, the hour lost in the middle of a workday. You open the session on your device, your therapist is on the other side, and when it ends you're already home.
You get access to our client portal for paperwork and scheduling, plus the free My MentalSpace app for iPhone and Android. Our hours include weekday evenings until 7pm ET and Saturdays from 10am to 3pm ET, with Sunday sessions by arrangement. You do need to be physically in Georgia for each session, which is a licensing requirement.

Questions people ask before starting
Can my partner and I join couples therapy from different places?
Yes, as long as you are both physically in Georgia at the time of the session. That's a licensing requirement. Many couples join from the same room; others join from two locations when work or travel keeps them apart. Both partners are covered under one session.
Do you have an office in Acworth?
No. MentalSpace Therapy is an online practice, and every session happens over secure video. Acworth residents meet with a Georgia-licensed therapist from home or another private place in Georgia. Our mailing address is in Alpharetta, but we don't see clients there.
What should I do in a crisis?
MentalSpace Therapy is not a crisis service. If you are in danger, call 911. For a mental health crisis, call or text 988, the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, or call the Georgia Crisis & Access Line at 1-800-715-4225. Both are available 24 hours a day.
Do you accept Medicare?
We don't currently accept traditional Medicare. We do accept some Medicare Advantage plans through Aetna and Humana, and we'll verify yours during intake. If neither applies, private pay is available at a per-session rate confirmed before your first session.
Does insurance cover life or relationship coaching?
No. Coaching isn't a medical service, so insurance doesn't apply. Rates depend on the coach's credential and are shared on your welcome call before you commit. If what you need is clinical, such as treatment for anxiety or depression, therapy can be billed to insurance.
